Dr. Omar Y. Al-Jarrah is a prominent academic and researcher in the fields of computer engineering and intelligent systems. He received his B.Sc. degree in computer engineering from Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan, in 2005. He then earned his M.Sc. degree in computer engineering from The University of Sydney, Australia, in 2008, and his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2016.
His research interests include network intrusion detection, connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), machine learning, quantum computing, and big data analytics. Dr. Al-Jarrah has a robust publication record with numerous articles in prestigious journals and conferences, and he has supervised several graduate students and senior projects.
Dr. Al-Jarrah has held various academic and administrative positions such as CEO of Marsrobotics in Jordan. He has also been a Senior Research Fellow and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Warwick, UK, where he contributed to significant projects like CARMA and ResiCAV.
